Munich is the self-proclaimed capital of river surfing and is internationally known most for its famous Eisbach wave, which has been featured in many films and commercials. So it doesn't come as a surprise, that the first artificial indoor wave opened its doors a couple of years ago in Munich. At Jochen Schweizer Arena you can surf all year round at summerly temperatures under controlled and save conditions. From special beginner courses to a professional wave, here you can try your first attempts on the board as well as work on improving your surfing skills. Equipment such as wetsuit and surfboard are included in the price. Experienced surfers can also use their own surf board, although you should probably stay with boards well below 6 feet in order to be able to enjoy your turns on the quite steep and powerful wave.
